Trip tips in Krkonoše from Horní Maršov
Our apartment is located only 250 meters from the ski bus stop and right at the stop there is also a ski and snowboard rental and service Ski Drahník (open daily 9:00–17:00 during winter season).
Winter activities
- Skiing and snowboarding — 50 km of ski slopes at SkiResort Černá hora–Pec, family Areál Mladé Buky and quieter resort for children and beginners SkiAreál Malá Úpa.
- Cross-country skiing — Groomed trails in the area, e.g. Rychory (10–15 km through Rychorská hut, for intermediate skiers) and Světla–Velká Úpa route along the Úpa river (5 km, gently undulating terrain, suitable for beginners).
Summer activities
- Hiking — Aichelburg Educational Trail (6 km), Rychory Educational Trail, Krkonoše Treetop Walk, climb to Sněžka (1,603 m above sea level).
- Cycling — Cycle route No. 26, Elbe Trail, single trails in Trutnov, Krkonoše cycle buses in summer season.
- Trutnov Trails — Network of one-way mountain bike trails around Trutnov in the area of Čížkovy kameny and Jestřebí hory.
Aquacenters and relaxation
- Vrchlabí Center, Trutnov indoor pool (25 m, children pool, solarium, sauna), Janské Lázně Aquacenter, Aquapark in Špindlerův Mlýn.

Practical information
We recommend purchasing ski passes online in advance. During high season it is advisable to reserve restaurant tables in advance. Ski schools and children parks are available for families with children.
